City Lights Parade Entry
City Lights – A Downtown Holiday Festival

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025 · Parade begins at 7:00 PM
Line-Up: Begins at 4:00 PM (check-in, parking lot assignments, and group details will be emailed the week prior).

2025 Theme: A Country Christmas

"Where small-town charm meets holiday magic — celebrating traditions, rural pride, and the warmth of community."

Ideas to consider:

• Rustic barns, tractors, and wagons

• Country music and western swing

• Cowboys, cowgirls, and rodeo spirit

• Farm life: crops, windmills, hay bales (props/decorations only — no animals over 150 pounds allowed)

• Texas pride: boots, hats, Lone Star style

• Local touches: ranching heritage, western culture, community traditions

Get creative and don’t forget to LIGHT IT UP!

Judged Float Prizes

• 1st Place – $500

• 2nd Place – $300

• 3rd Place – $150

Entry Limitations

• Parade is limited to 100 total entries.

• Decorated Vehicles: Only the first 30 registrations will be accepted.

• Deadline to Apply: November 10, 2025 (entries often fill up early).

Rules

1. No Live Santas Allowed.

2. No Live Animals Allowed. Entries with live animals will not be permitted in the parade lineup.

3. Only one entry per business/organization. Each entry will receive a number — no number = no entry.

4. Candy may not be thrown from moving vehicles. Candy must be handed out by walkers alongside floats/vehicles (not into the street). Violators will be disqualified from next year’s parade.

5. No stopping on the parade route (except at the stage on 8th & Scott).

6. No political campaign entries will be accepted.

Payments & Fees

• Floats

  • Judged: $50

  • Not Judged: $40

• Decorated Vehicle (Car, Truck, Tractor, etc.) – $50

• Marching Bands – Free

• Marching Groups (drill teams, scouts, dance groups, etc.) – Free

• Car / Bicycle Clubs

  • $40 for up to 5 cars/riders

  • +$5 per additional car/rider over 5

• Firetrucks, Fire Departments, Police Departments – Free

Payment Process

• After your application is received, you will be sent an invoice by email.

• Invoices must be paid in full by November 15, 2025 to secure your parade entry.

• Entries not paid by this deadline will be removed from the lineup.

• Free entries (bands, groups, fire/police) will still receive a confirmation but will not be invoiced.

Refund Policy

• Refunds will not be issued for cancellations after November 15, 2025.

• Have read, understand, and agree to all rules and conditions above.

• Will ensure your entry complies with the 2025 theme: A Country Christmas and safety regulations.

• Understand that live animals larger than 150 pounds are prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification if present.

• Accept that entries are not final until payment is received.
