Kid Biz is Saturday, October 7 from 9AM to 1PM at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market. This market is created to celebrate and encourage young entrepreneurs in our community! Young people can learn about the power of entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership through experiential learning.

Who is invited to participate?

Kids from the ages of 5 to 18 that are budding young entreprenuers are welcome to register for the event.

What can I sell?

You must qualify for one of the types of vendors below:

Producer: A person who offers for sale produce which you have raised, grown, or produced on land which he or a member of his immediate family owns or leases. 

Non-producer (Artisan Dealer): A person who offers for sale products which he makes. 

What we accept:
• Handmade items
• Homemade food items (must follow Texas Cottage Food Laws) 

• Homegrown/raised produce

What we do NOT accept:
• Resale/mass produced goods
• MLM Companies

How do I participate?

Just like adults, kids are asked to fill out a vendor form to help give them the real world experience of being a Farmers Market vendor. Applications and payments must be received no later than 12p, Thursday, October 5.

Youth Internship Program

It’s okay if you don’t have a business or products you want to sell, but still want to be involved with the KID BIZ experience! You can partner with a Market Mentor and be an intern! The youth internship program offers work-based learning, mentorship and skill development focused on the local farm to market economic system. Interns are able to learn and assist at the Downtown Farmers Market under an experienced Market Mentor with a variety of activities and additional opportunities tailored to fit their interests. The intended age group is 10 to 18, however younger people may apply.
