Entertainment Lineup for the 2013 St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Feb 1, 2013

The Killdares will be headlining the 2013 St. Patrick’s Day Downtown Festival.  Returning as the most demanded entertainers to hit our St. Patrick’s Day Festival, they will light up the stage with their blend of traditional Celtic skills and straight up rock ‘n roll riffs!  This band is sure to get you up on your feet and dancing an Irish jig you didn’t know you had in you!

Goitse is our band direct from Ireland. Goitse is a flourishing, highly talented five piece band fast making a name for themselves as one of the most sought after bands amongst connoisseurs of Irish traditional music. Their fast paced energetic playing has seen them enjoying a growing fanbase through show stopping performances in Ireland, America, Germany, Finland, Denmark and even Africa.

The Josh Weathers band is a rock-n-soul infused, high energy 4 piece powerhouse based out of Fort Worth (FunkyTown). Josh Weathers guarantees an unforgettable performance with catchy tunes that will have you singing along at the shows to humming them all the next day! A passionate and energetic live performance every time leaving you wanting more!

The Gourds are a good-time, honky-tonkin’ band with enough quirk and underground appeal to justify the “alternative” tag in “alternative country-rock”. The Gourds first made waves 12 years ago by performing twangy covers of Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” and Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice”. Since then the band has thickened their sound and sharpened their songwriting with each passing year, creating some of the best roots music around.

“Things get wild at a Gourds show. Fiddle sawing, accordion flailin’ and dust rising, one dodges elbows and wild, stompin’ feet as one of Austin’s finest shows you what real broadminded American musicians can do.” -Jambase.com
