Bowling for Soup coming to downtown Wichita Falls!

Jan 24, 2017

Downtown Wichita Falls Development is excited to announce their annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The event will be March 11, 2017 from 3:00pm to 11:00pm on the corner of 8th and Indiana in historic downtown Wichita Falls.

This year, DWFD is excited to present Bowling for Soup!

Downtown Wichita Falls Development is excited to present Grammy nominated and Wichita Falls’ very own Bowling for Soup! Formed in 1994 in Wichita Falls, the quartet has toured internationally, has world wide record sales in the hundreds of thousands, and we are so excited they are returning to Wichita Falls for this year’s event!

Martin Byrnes, coming in from Ireland, will be kicking off the night with traditional music and Irish ballads.

Inside the Iron Horse Pub will be a St. Patrick’s Day Festival favorite, AA Bottom. A.A. Bottom is a hard rocking, well versed band that plays the Texas Bluesy Southern and Classic Rock with style and class. It’s Texas Rock and Roll at it’s best. Joining them will be Erick Willis, a rising musician from Henrietta, Texas. Taking cues from the music he was raised on, Erick is blending soulful melodic lyrics with the deep groove of roots-rock.

Don’t forget to check out the children’s area! A family favorite, this area typically features scheduled entertainment, crafts, and more! Additionally, the Downtown Dash 5K will appear for the fifth year. In this themed 5K, participants are encouraged to dress up and will make their way through downtown, hunting for the pot of gold.

Tickets will go on sale by January 24. Pre-sale tickets will be available at the Sheppard AFB ITT office, Clark Student Center, Market Street, United, The Iron Horse Pub, 8th Street Coffee House, the Downtown Wichita Falls Development office or their website.

Presale general admission is $12, pre-sale for students and military with an ID is $10, and day-of general admission is $15. Children aged 12 and under are free.

All profits generated from this event benefit Downtown Wichita Falls Development, a nonprofit organization.

Their sole focus is on improving the downtown area in order to make it a destination where we can all live, work, and play.
