DWFD’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – RAIN OR SHINE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Wichita Falls is expecting some serious green on the radar this weekend, but we will still be celebrating all things green at the Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Street Festival from Downtown Wichita Falls Development. The event will continue, rain or shine. The organization is preparing a 60 x 120 tent to cover the concert area so that you can still enjoy all the scheduled bands including Martin Byrnes, No Limits, bigloo, and Bowling for Soup. Bring your rainboots and umbrellas, extra points if they’re green… and be ready to have a great time.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, organizers may also scale down different areas of the event to protect residents from lightning, wind, and rain. We are in contact with area meteorologists who will help us make those decisions.
Presale tickets are still available at the Sheppard AFB ITT office, Market Street, United Supermarkets, The Iron Horse Pub, Eighth Street Coffee, Clark Student Center, the Downtown Wichita Falls Development office and online. Presale general admission is $12, presale for students and military with an ID is $10, and day-of general admission is $15. Children aged 12 and under are free.
All profits generated from this event benefit Downtown Wichita Falls Development, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our sole focus is improving the downtown area to make it a destination where we can all live, work, and play.
